With the state’s safety measures in place, couples will be able to visit as long as they meet all the required safety protocols put in place. Isn’t that exciting? Below are a few requirements that will help keep you healthy and safe on your big day!
- Safety Requirements for Visitors
All travelers who wish to be excluded from the quarantine process must present a negative COVID-19 test result. This result must be obtained from a trusted test partner before the final leg of their Hawaiian trip. This is something you will want to make sure you get done!
These tests must be provided 72 hrs upon arrival by either uploading to the appropriate platform or provided in hard copy to be used during boarding clearance.
The state only accepts Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) from these partners. If you have any children five years and below, they do not need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result.
Visitors who do not provide a COVID-19 negative test result will be subjected to a 10-days self-quarantine. That would not be good!
- General Safety Measures Throughout the State
Registration with the state of Hawaii’s safe travel program must be carried out. Children traveling with registered adults are expected to be mentioned in the forms.
Try to log in every leg of your travel schedule to avoid unnecessary waste of time during screening. A QR code for every leg of your journey will be mailed to you to present to airport personnel.
Guests will undergo a screening process involving temperature checks at the airport. They will show the QR code they received when booking accommodations or renting cars.
- Places Open to Tourist
Places like Pearl Harbor Memorial, Aviation Museum, Bishop Museum, and Polynesian cultural center are open to visitors to Oahu.
If you are visiting Maui, places like the Kaanapali beach resort are open. But you’ll see a modified luau, dinner options, and socially distanced seating arrangements of the drums of the pacific luau.
Most national parks and open space hiking trails are open on Hawaii island. Also, Big Island Candies has opened its doors to tourists once again. Beaches and parks statewide are all open but with strict safety measures, including face covers and physical distancing. There are lots of different places to have your wedding held at, just make sure you check their requirements on how many people they can accommodate.
